About ESI Global

The people behind
the experience.

We bring people, ideas and practical planning together to create events with purpose. From our South African roots to international projects, our work is built on personal attention, trusted relationships and care for the details.

Our story

From a creative beginning.
To a complete event partner.

Our story began in 2001, when the eventing side of Dance With Me Dance Studio in Alberton started to grow. What began in a creative environment developed into a business of its own, and Event Synthesis was established independently in 2010.

That creative beginning still shapes how we work. Today, we bring together events, conferences, event safety, sports, travel and corporate gifting, supported by relationships with specialist suppliers in South Africa and internationally.

CEO & Founder

Angelique Smith.

Angelique is the founder and CEO of Event Synthesis International, and the person behind the business we are today. From our beginnings in dance and live events, she has grown ESI into an event partner whose work spans corporate functions, conferences, awards, festivals and international gatherings.

Her work brings creative thinking and practical coordination together. Understanding the brief, connecting the right people and carrying the detail through to delivery are central to her approach. Whether you are planning a major conference or organising your company’s next celebration, that same care shapes the way we work with you.

Alongside leading ESI, Angelique serves as Vice Chair of the Exhibition and Events Association of Southern Africa (EXSA). Her involvement in the wider industry reflects the professional responsibility that sits alongside our creative work.

02

A South African foundation

Our South African roots connect Gauteng and the Garden Route. We bring that local understanding to briefs across the country and to international collaborations.

03

A wider professional community

Our work connects us with the events, exhibitions and conference community. Those relationships help us bring the right expertise and partners to each project.
